In honor of Self Care Awareness Month - Have you heard of the Cyber House? If not it's worth scoping out the chat group here on X. This eclectic collective is most certainly a myriad of fun and like minded individuals. Each day as part of the chat, there is an incredible amount of self care encouragement, support, creativity and overall camaraderie and fun! I personally have the chat on mute but pop in and out as my schedule permits. I find it quite relaxing to just kick back and follow all the great conversations. Make it make sense! Really AP News?
I am personally not against vaccines, but I am against those that don’t make sense.
I have not yet received a COVID vaccination or 2 or 3 or 5 or boosters as I have yet to receive a reasonable answer on if any will affect my 40+ years of being in remission from having Multiple Sclerosis.
The only statement issued was from the crooked MS society that said early on “We don’t know but it’s your civic duty and any effects won’t measure against your bigger duty” That to me is not a reasonable answer. No universal duty to me is worth paralysis. That was in fact a terrible answer to go to the MS population at large.
Next statement was “well you could die”. Well bubba…I was told at 12 years old my life expectancy with Multiple Sclerosis was my 20’s. Then in my 20’s I was told it was my 30’s. Then I was told if I had kids I would risk paralysis and death. Here I am in my 50’s and after having 2 kids and 3 grandkids I am just fine. I am at the phase in my life I think I’m winning the gamble. 50/50 crap shoot either way.
I also have no civic duty to risk paralysis again which was my initial symptom. I have spent my life trying to do all the right health things so I don’t become paralyzed again. There is no rhyme or reason to MS either.
Throughout the whole pandemic I weighed heavily, deeply and passionately the pros and cons. I had Covid once in 2021 over Thanksgiving that year. I received the free monoclonal antibody infusion which was fabulous. I have not had Covid since.
Then came the even deeper conversations with my adult children and my grandchildren who all have their life preferences that I respect for their own internal life questioning and dialog.
I have not had the flu shot since I once had aa a kid and have never had it since and have been just fine with no flu. That one is making less sense as each year progresses.
I did though follow all the non trendy doctors and especially Dr Geert. Some things made sense..:others didn’t….sooo bottom line was…go with my gut as my gut has rarely led me wrong.
Reasonable answer to me now at this juncture of my life = “You do you Boo and what works best for your personal circumstance. ” 👻 and remove the alarmist and fear p*rn.
Science is not infallible and not all Doctors and Scientists are right. In fact there are more crooked ones than not.
There is no easy answer(s) on this debate.
Simply respect everyone for their personal choice on the matter.

I am more convinced the below is just a money grab lol lol. 2 airports and nothing needed other than simply scanning my regular ID and then showing a copy of my receipt for TSA $45 pre-payment. No further identification needed. They just wanted to know I paid. So why RealID? Why $45? Why no Id or $45 for voting! No real reason to head to my local Courthouse basement to track down my lost marriage certificate from 30+ years ago to confirm my name change for the RealID. At some point this year I will get my full passport which doesn’t require the name change proof.
Make it all make sense? 🤷♀️🫖

The week can wait one cup.
The week starts talking before you’ve even stood up. In my case the talking said…”flight delayed!” 🫖
A mindless tea ritual answers first —
hands already know the kettle,
the cup already knows the pause.
Monday isn’t a starting gun.
It’s just another morning
that lets you arrive before you perform.

No hurry yet.
Just steam, and the soft permission to begin slowly.

Not everything the weather bent was broken.
Some of it was just becoming sculpture.
I almost walked past this.
That is the thing about places like this. The eye wants the water, the horizon, the obvious beauty. It does not always want the wreckage sitting in the sand.
But these branches stopped me.
Look at them. Some still hold a little dark bark. Some have been sanded white by salt and sun until they look like bone. They twist in directions no living tree would choose.
They lean. They split. They rest half-buried, half-reaching, as if they never quite decided whether to stay or leave.
The grass does not mind. It grows right through them. Green against bleached wood. Life using what the storm left behind.
This is what time does when you stop fighting it. It does not always erase.
Sometimes it edits. It takes the straight line and makes it interesting. It takes the thing that was once only useful and turns it into something you cannot look away from.
We are so afraid of being weathered.
We want to come through every season looking the same. Unmarked. Unbent. Still standing exactly as we were before the wind arrived. But the most honest things on this beach are the ones that let themselves be changed by it.
They did not survive by remaining rigid.
They survived by becoming a different shape.
There is a quiet kind of dignity in that. Not the loud kind that announces itself. The kind that just stays. The kind that lets the light move through the places that used to be solid.
I do not know what storm did this. I do not know how many years these limbs have been lying here, being slowly rewritten by sun and tide and sand.
I only know they are more themselves now than they were when they were still trying to look like a tree.
Some of us are in that season too.
Not dead.
Not finished.
Just no longer pretending the weather did not happen.
And maybe that is not the ending.
Maybe that is the part worth photographing.
The part worth sitting with a little longer than we planned.
